2. Kate Middleton attended Wimbledon on Tuesday. Before taking her usual seat in the front row of the royal box, Middleton made a surprise appearance on Court 14 to watch watch British player Harriet Dart. The royal mom and Prince William are both tennis enthusiasts, often playing at their country home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall.

4. Roger Federer showed some signs of mileage on the clock in his opening match against Lloyd Harris. The 37-year-old lost the first set, 6-3, but in the end reminded everyone there's no one quite like him on grass. 5. Ashleigh Barty won her 13th straight match on Tuesday against Saisai Zheng, 6-4, 6-2. Even though things got a little close in the first set, she continued to play her unique game and used her slice to dictate points and set up net play. The world No. 1 will take on Alison Van Uytvanck in the second round.
