TASHKENT, Uzbekistan (AP)—Top-seeded Ksenia Pervak and defending champion Alla Kudryavtseva advanced to the semifinals of the Tashkent Open on Thursday with straight-sets victories.

Pervak beat qualifier Victoria Larriere 6-1, 6-2, while sixth-seeded Kudryavtseva eliminated the 2008 champion Sorana Cirstea 7-6 (5), 6-4.

In the other quarterfinals, Eva Birnerova beat Valeria Savinykh 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, and Urszula Radwanska defeated Eleni Daniilidou 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, to make it through to their first WTA Tour semifinal.

The 52nd-ranked Pervak, who is looking for her first career title, was broken while serving for the match at 5-1, but wrapped up the match in the next game. Pervak is enjoying her best season, reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon and her first final in Baku in July.

Kudryavtseva saved three break points while serving for the match at 5-4 up in the second set before finally clinching victory.

After trading sets, Radwanska served for the match at 5-1. Daniilidou saved three match points and narrowed the gap to 5-4, but lost her serve in the 10th game to hand victory to Radwanska.
