U.S. Open junior champion Jack Sock has decided to turn pro. The Nebraska native told the Kansas City Star that the decision was a toss up between college and going pro.

"The past few weeks, I thought my game was to the point to where I thought I could go out and compete with the top players in the world," the 18-year-old said. "I'm ready to make a full-time commitment to it."

Sock signed a sponsorship deal with Adidas and will be represented by CAA Sports, whose clients include Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray. Sock has played three Challengers this summer, winning two out of five matches. He will attempt to defend his 18s Nationals title at Kalamazoo Aug. 5-14.
