Good evening. Again, the original Crisis Center has overspilled with comments, topping the 1000 mark, so this extension Crisis Center post should help to ease any problems you may be having with loading. Please carry on talking about the day's tennis action here. We'd appreciate it if you could keep your comments focused on tennis until the day's matches are over - afterwards it's OK to go off-topic.
Earlier today Roger Federer came through in straight sets against Gilles Muller, 7-6, 6-4, 7-6, to reserve his spot in the semifinals. HIs semifinal opponent is being decided this evening, as Andy Roddick takes on Novak Djokovic in front of a night-time New York crowd. Roddick has just taken the third set, with Djokovic having won the first two.
After booking my flight to New Tork for the semifinals, I see that New York is expecting storms, and possibly a total washout on Super Saturday, and contingency plans are being made for a Monday finish. Just my luck. I'm making the trip to the US Open for the first time this weekend, after an almost precipitation-free two weeks, and naturally, I have to pick the one day that's at risk.
Enjoy the rest of the evening's tennis.
