It was just another day Down Under for Sloane Stephens. She visited Hobart's Great Euro Circus and had knives flung at her:

She then went out and defeated perennial foil and avant-garde ball-striker Monica Niculescu 6-4, 6-2 in the Hobart International event. "Well, yesterday I went to the circus here and let the guy throw knives at me," Stephens said nonchalantly, as is her way, after her opening win of the 2015 season.

"But they didn't hit me of course. My mom wasn't too happy, but I'm still alive, so that's good!"

Here's a look at her convincing victory against Niculescu, in its entirety:

Stephens would go on to lose her second-round match, to Heather Watson, 6-3, 6-1. What do you expect from one-time Serena Williams vanquisher at the Aussie Open?
