Roger Federer and doubles partner Nicolas Mahut are into the Brisbane International semifinals after a thoroughly entertaining match against Grigor Dimitrov and Jeremy Chardy. The count on that one: 7-6 (3), 6-7 (5), 11-9. It could hardly have been closer. And what also couldn't have been closer was Chardy's proximity to one of Federer's shots that he would yet have no chance of retrieving. See that exchange here:
