It's good to see the so-called "old" pros up to new tricks. First, Serena Williams experienced a career-first foible, running into a lob struck by her foe. Now, Roger Federer has pressed both palms to his racquet handle and created a two-handed backhand. Here's the video evidence:

The shot arrived in the midst of an 11-stroke rally in which Federer hit four other backhands, each a one-hander delivered in his trademark elegant fashion, including a gorgeous drive to end the point on a down-the-line winner. His two-hander itself: A lob.

Federer took the match from opponent Marcel Granollers by a 6-2, 7-6 (1), 6-3 count. He moves on to the third round at Roland Garros, where he will face No. 87-ranked Damir Dzumhur. The 23-year-old from Bosnia and Herzegovina can only imagine what he has coming.
