VIDEO: Gael Monfils tears it up on terre battue turned dance floor

Note to any professional tennis player: Never find yourself i​​n a public dance-off against Gael Monfils. You will lose.​

That's the lesson learned by friendly foe Lauren Lokoli, Monfils' fellow Frenchman who gamely took him on at Roland Garros's Kids' Day event but ultimately succumbed to his superior's clay-court moves.​ ​See the footage featuring the two turning it out to DJ Snake and Lil Jon's "Turn Down for What" track, as superstar DJ Bob Sinclar and Big Ali look on:​

​On such a rainy day, the two pros might have considered working it to Rihanna's "Umbrella" or another pop hit, but regardless, Monfils wins out with masterful, acrobatic moves. Which is to say he basically acted out just as he does during a live competitive match, just sans racquet.​ All the action at Kids' Day was in support of the Novak Djokovic Foundation, which is donating proceeds to victims of the Balkan flooding disaster, and Djokovic and his Serbian countrywoman Jelena Jankovic were also on hand.​

​Also over le weekend, the Roland Garros Players Party commenced ​​at la Tour Eiffel in Paris. Interestingly, Richard Gasquet, a resident of the City of Light, had never been to that iconic edifice before, a fact he reveals in the video below:​

Perhaps headlining at the party, another star with a Paris address, Serena Williams, and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga​ ​ snapped a selfie on the former's smartphone. Serena was a veritable selfie machine on the night, also capturing a moment with Varvara Lepchenko, who she defeated this month on clay, but feigning to balk briefly at a photo-op with her fellow defending champion on the terre battue, Rafael Nadal.
