It did the Brit good for a wee bit of time. He proceeded to hold serve to pull within 5-4 before Nadal closed out the first set in the subsequent game. Rafa ramped up his efforts from there, securing a semifinal spot in London's O2 Arena by running away with the second set, 6-1.
Nadal addressed the press later as well. He laughed upon hearing that Murray, who served poorly on the day, was bothered by his own dome's follicles. It's unlikely that Murray will soon take to the Nadal-esque or Federerian bandanna look, but anything's possible among the game's best. They're always innovating.
