The world best be ready for this jelly. Serena Williams, in a new minute-and-a-half clip paired with her April Vogue cover, is all but owning the pop-culture realm of late. In a clip that dropped Wednesday, she takes on fellow Virgo-in-chief Beyoncé's "7/11" music video, with flair, special guests and an affirmatively tennis-centric spin.

Leave it to her to pull a page from her contemporary's playbook and release a surprise slice of art. You just have to watch:

Do note the dancing with coach Patrick Mouratoglou at the one-minute mark, a centerpiece of the video that's sure to catalyze even more talk of their on-or-off personal relationship. Notably absent: Sascha Bajin, Serena's former hitting partner and aide who moved into Victoria Azarenka's camp a few weeks ago. With Mouratoglou and more pals keeping the WTA Tour's No. 1 star company in the clip, it's as Serena, without verbalizing much at all, is saying, "I got this—and I'm having more fun."

Now, as mentioned before in this column, your loyal Spin keeper can't help but feel a certain affinity for both performers, Serena and Beyoncé. Neither of them requires a surname at this point, while I myself apparently missed the genius train amongst us September 1981 babies. It's just as well.

Dare to compare: Here's the Beyonic Woman's original "7/11" video, a lo-fi but frolicking romp around a balcony, a bathroom, and more spaces.

Serena's always relished a challenge, but she has her work cut out for her to match Queen Bey's haul of YouTube views. At press time, Serena's clip had nearly 68,000 looks compared to Beyoncé's 178 million–plus.

What's your favorite part of Serena's sendup of Beyowulf's visual jam? Says here the cameo appearances by her dog, Chip, subtly steal the show.
