While the Roland Garros tennis tournament will not take place this week due to the coronavirus pandemic, a different type of event featuring French tennis players is underway. The 2020 Roland Garros eSeries begins on Monday, June 1 at 12:00 p.m. ET, and you can stream it live here.

  • From June 1-7, 16 tennis players and French celebrities will take part in a virtual tennis tournament to raise money for the AP-HP Foundation: Kev Adams, Grégoire Barrère, Julien Benneteau, Arthur Cazaux, Alizé Cornet, Florent Dasque, Fiona Ferro, Stéphane Houdet, Manu Katché, Camille Lacourt, Paul-Henri Mathieu, Kristina Mladenovic, Chloé Paquet, Nicolas Peifer, Gaëtan Roussel and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

  • The members of Team Vitality, an eSports team that is well-known in France and around the world, will commentate on the charity exhibition tournament with Norman “Genius” Chatrier, the ambassador of the Roland-Garros eSeries by BNP Paribas.
  • Tournament format: knockout tournament; each set consists of 3 games; playing until someone has won 3 sets; a supertiebreak will be held if each player wins 2 sets; average game time length: 30 minutes.
  • When the 2020 Roland Garros tennis tournament takes place, an exhibition match between the winner of the European Roland Garros Virtual Tournament and an American player will take place at Roland Garros Stadium.
