ROME (AP)—Serena Williams is ready to return at the Italian Open after a knee injury has kept her sidelined since January.
The top-ranked player has been out since winning her fifth Australian Open title.
Speaking ahead of this week's Italian Open, Williams said she has been spending ``a lot of time on the court and a lot of time on clay.''
Sister Venus is also ready to get back on the court in Rome after missing the last month with a knee problem.
Venus said she's feeling ``pretty good'' after doing a lot of training in the last two weeks.
The sisters are in the same half of the draw at the Foro Italico and could meet in the semifinals.
