Previously high levels of security are to be increased even further for Wimbledon, according to The Telegraph.

There will be restricted vehicle access around the grounds and increased security monitoring, said the newspaper.

The moves are in response to the recent attacks in London and Manchester. The use of vehicles in some of the attacks has been noted, since the tournament grounds and spectator queues are located alongside roads.

The Metropolitan Police told The Telegraph that they would not comment on "specific security measures" but that there would be an ongoing review of the arrangements.

"A range of tactics will be put in place—some highly visible, including enhanced physical security, and some that the public will not notice, which includes a dedicated deployment of armed officers," said a statement from the Met’s office. "Armed officers have supported the policing operation in previous years."

Security has typically been tight at Wimbledon, with armed guards, patrol dogs and screening present on the grounds.

Holding Serve with Roger Federer will air on Thursday, June 8th at 2 p.m. ET, only on Tennis Channel.
