This isn’t the first No. 1 milestone Djokovic has reached this year.

The week of January 22nd was his 409th career week at No. 1, which marked 200 more weeks than any other active player (Nadal, 209).

The next week was his 410th week at No. 1, or 100 more weeks than any other man in ATP rankings history (Roger Federer, 310).

And the week of March 11th was his 416th week on top, or eight full years’ worth of weeks at No. 1. No other man has even gotten to six.

Djokovic is in no danger of losing his No. 1 ranking during Miami, as no matter how his closest competitors do at the Masters 1000 event, he’ll still hold somewhere between a 280 and 1,230 point lead at the top of the rankings next Monday. And then he’s only defending a total of 315 ranking points during the entire clay-court lead-up season to Roland Garros, while his closest competitors are all defending more (Sinner 540, Medvedev 1,270 and Alcaraz 1,545).
