Most stars are in Beijing for the China Open, and the player party photos prove it. Agnieszka Radwanska looks smashing, Andrea Petkovic looks fresh-faced and vivacious, as is her wont, and Angelique Kerber continues with her patented grimace-smile. The Spin also digs Victoria Azarenka's 1980s or '90s look. It's decidedly Amy Grant in its style, just missing a leopard-print blazer. Not bad for a young woman born in 1989, just as that style era commenced.
LOCO FOR DJOKO
To riff on the age-old cereal advertisement, tennis fans in Asia sure do go coo-coo for Djoko-puffs. See Novak Djokovic's own Facebook album of off-court shots from his time on the Asian swing of the ATP tour. I defy anyone to summon a fanbase that comes out with more verve and elation, for WTA and ATP pros alike. It is great to see. You can find more photos via the players' Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as those of the tours themselves, that show all sorts of superfanship. Plus, enjoy this instant-classic photo of Petkovic and Jelena Jankovic. (These two appear to get on well, and that makes sense, as Petko can basically befriend a tree if she tries hard enough. Too bad the same can't be said for JJ and Ana Ivanovic anymore.)
HI, MARIA. IT'S MARIA
And leave it to Maria Sharapova to conduct a Q&A with herself, in which we discover that she loves the silk-pant trend in fashion, abhors the platform-sneaker trend (watch yourself, Kim Kardashian), and is, wonderfully, listening to Hot Chip lately. Great band. And with that, it's high time for a song, one she could use to serenade her next beau.
