The men’s and women’s draws for the USTA Australian Open wildcard playoffs are set. The competition begins on Friday in Atlanta. The two winners will win direct entries in the 2011 Australian Open.
On the men’s side, top seed Donald Young will play US Open junior champ Jack Sock, No. 2 Tim Smyczek takes on Rhyne Williams, Jordan Cox plays Dennis Kudla and last year’s winner, Ryan Harrison, confronts Michael Shabaz.
On the women’s side, top seed and last year’s winner CoCo Vandeweghe plays 15-year-old Madison Keys, while Beatrice Capra faces Shelby Rogers, Irina Falconi plays Krista Hardebeck and second seed Jaime Hampton goes up against Orange Bowl champion Lauren Davis.
