Rena

Mornin', everyone. I've got to write a post for ESPN before I can report on last night's women's tennis extravaganza in Madison Square Garden, so I'll just give you the short version here:  Serena Williams hammered sister Venus in straight sets to cop the Billie Jean King Cup, before a so-so crowd (let's be fair, New York had experienced a mini-blizzard the night before) but a potentially huge national television audience via HBO. Former US President Bill Clinton made an appearance, speaking at a ceremony celebrating Billie Jean King's role as an agent of social change (I think you're all familiar with the template by now), and the two Serbian stars, Jelena Jankovic and Ana Ivanovic, each picked up quarter-of-a-million dollars for playing a set of tennis against, respectively, Venus and Serena. I'm still trying to figure out, what, if anything it all meant. But more about that later. . .
