Angelique Kerber to mentor German female players in 2025
The three-time Grand Slam champion will work as an advisor to the German Tennis Federation in her first role since her professional retirement.
Kerber "leaves as a figurehead for the idea that your career is what you want it to be," narrates Jon Wertheim.
The top seed eased past the left-hander, 7-5, 6-3, on Monday.
Playing Rome for the first time since 2022, Kerber cruised in a 6-1, 6-0 win over American Lauren Davis, who dropped to 0-4 since returning from a six-month injury layoff last month.
