TenniStory: Murphy Jensen's battle with addiction

When you think of Murphy Jensen, the charismatic American who won the 1993 French Open doubles title with his brother, Luke, you probably think of scenes like these:

But as we've often discovered, particularly in tennis, image isn't everything. What you probably don't know is that Murphy was in the midst of a dark personal time during the apex of his playing career. He skipped matches and shirked commitments. He drank to excess and used drugs. Eventually, he cast aside those who cared about him the most, to the point of wanting to end it all.

Jensen didn't want to go to anyone else. Thankfully, an intervention came to him. It helped change the path of his life, which he describes in great detail in this TenniStory video:
