It's not so much an "off" season for Bianca Andreescu as it is an awards season. Andreescu took home the Lou Marsh award for Canada's top athlete as well as the WTA Newcomer of the Year.

The 19-year-old from Mississauga, Ontario, was a unanimous choice from a panel of sports journalists for Canada's best athlete of 2019.

She also became the first tennis player to ever win the award. The outpouring of support from her fans and country, as usual, was immense. From Justin Trudeau to Billie Jean King, and all the Toronto sports teams, it's tough not to like the bubbly and down to earth Andreescu.
