King inspires in Hall of Fame Tennis Worthy series

Living legend and WTA pioneer Billie Jean King was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1987, but she continues to be honored by the sport. This week, she stars in the Hall of Fame's Tennis Worthy series.

In the feature, King shares wisdom about resilience, achievement and fighting for justice.

Other famed inductees featured also reveal the lessons and off-court qualities tennis has given them. For instance, Stan Smith, Class of 1987, discusses purposefulness and making important decisions in morally challenging situations.

And Michael Stich, who will be inducted on Saturday, talks about mental strength.

This year's other inductee, Helena Sukova, discusses the perseverance necessary to succeed in the biggest challenges.

King has been busy abroad this month, attending Wimbledon and taking in matches from the famed Royal Box of Centre Court.

The American legend lifted the trophy at the All England Club six times in singles through her storied career.

King has been a fixture at SW19, and she'll be an important figure in another competition this summer, as the World Team Tennis teams play for the King Trophy.

Stitch and Sukova will be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame on Saturday at noon in Newport, RI.
