Amanda Anisimova was pressed. Down 3-5 to her unseeded compatriot Katrina Scott in their 2nd round match in this modified US Open, she let fly an amusing expletive commonly referred to as "WTF," with an added word for emphasis.

Though not a huge presence on Twitter, she picks her moments well.

"Sometimes I look at it, I don't know it's Twitter it's entertaining," she told press. "But I don't really focus too much on it or constantly go on my Twitter. There's every every once in a while I'll open up the app or tweet something myself ."

The occasion merited a Tweet.

See the clip here, and the reactions below.

"Didn't think this would make it to Twitter," Anisimova herself tweeted, surely knowing as one who just turned 19 on August 31 that it could only do so.

And the tennis Twitterati took it from there.

"Omfg! CLASSIC! WTAF," retired star and current ESPN commentator Rennae Stubbs replied to Anisimova's post.

Tennis Channel anchor Brett Haber chimed in, "Hard not to like someone who says it exactly the way they’re feeling it. I feel a t-shirt coming on! #WTAF"The No. 22–seeded Anisimova prevailed over Scott by a 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 count.

She best bring her, ahem, actual A-game against her next foe, No. 15 Maria Sakkari, riding a restart wave of great results recently, including a victory over Serena Williams in last week's Cincinnati-in-Queens event.
